Angela Watson
RN, CNM

Angela Watson, RN, CNM is the newest addition to SCM.  She brings with her a strong background in women’s health and a dedication to the safety and therapeutic nature of her work.  Angela began her path to midwifery as a teen counselor at Planned Parenthood in her hometown of San Jose, California, in the early ‘90’s.  In 2001, Angela drove across the country to begin Nursing School at Vanderbilt University in effort to discover a different culture and attend Vanderbilt’s esteemed Nurse-Midwifery Program in Nashville, Tennessee.

Angela worked throughout her midwifery training as an Emergency Room RN at Nashville’s County Hospital.  She also worked with the East End Birthing Center in downtown Nashville. 

Angela graduated from Vanderbilt in December 2005 with a Master’s of Science in Nursing and returned to Los Angeles where she has worked as a RN in Labor & Delivery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and as a practitioner at Planned Parenthood.

Angela is excited to be a part of the South Coast Midwifery community and is looking forward to being a part of your birth story! 

Angela also brings a knowledge and love of music thanks to her husband, Willie, a musician and performer.
